Waiheke Island is located about 17.7 km (about 35 minutes by ferry) from Auckland.It´s the second-largest of all the gulf islands, is also the most populated and the most accessible due to regular ferry and air services. Waiheke Island is a popular holiday spot, and during the main Summer season, especially around Christmas and Easter.
